New Platform and Plug-Ins Allow Easy Integration of Visa Payer Authentication And Advanced Fraud Screen Technology Into Standard Order Acceptance Process

2.5, the first extensible decision management platform that allows businesses selling online and through call centers to centrally control and easily manage the entire transaction risk management system, including credit card fraud, credit worthiness, export compliance checks and more. The new extensible Risk Manager platform, which provides a powerful rule builder and the ability to add or change risk management processes in real-time, now enables the addition of custom and third-party risk-related plug-ins. These allow businesses to create an order acceptance system tailored to qualify their respective online and call center customers` transaction validity.
CyberSource also announced today availability of Risk Manager
2.5-compatible plug-ins that provide access to the CyberSource Advanced Fraud Screen Enhanced by Visa (AFS) and Visa Payer Authentication (Verified by Visa) services. The new CyberSource Payer Authentication plug-in allows easy integration of the Visa Payer Authentication System (VPAS) into a merchant`s standard order acceptance process.

Value Added Fraud Screen Plug-Ins
Now available is a plug-in for the CyberSource Advanced Fraud Screen Enhanced by Visa (AFS), the most sophisticated fraud-detection technology offered by CyberSource, which leverages access to global fraud trends and payment card usage patterns, including both online and in-store transactions, to quickly and accurately identify first-time fraud attempts and emerging fraud patterns. The AFS plug-in seamlessly integrates with Risk Manager
2.5 allowing businesses to easily incorporate fraud rules based on AFS score and factor code results.
Additionally, the new CyberSource Payer Authentication plug-in, also supported by Risk Manager 2.5, enables merchants to access VPAS (Verified by Visa), thereby providing a means of authenticating the consumer and determining that they are authorized to use the card number submitted with the online order. The service can reduce disputes related to fraudulent Internet transactions, resulting in increased consumer and merchant confidence in electronic commerce.
Also available from CyberSource are hot list (positive and negative), velocity, and credit card authorization plug-ins, among others, for comprehensive risk management and payment processing needs.

As part of their maintenance agreement, existing Risk Manager customers will automatically receive version 2.5 of the software.
