"What Works" Top CRM Deployment Awards Announced
Aberdeen Releases Case Studies of 2001`s Top CRM Implementations
BOSTON, MA — March 6, 2002
--
In a new research report, Aberdeen Group, a leading market analysis and positioning services firm, announced its selection of the top ten Customer Relationship Management (CRM) implementations of 2001. Each award is backed by a case study on the CRM supplier, the customer, and the implementation strategy.
"Return on investment was a major theme in the CRM industry in 2001 and we wanted to identify cases where implementations succeeded and where the customer could point to a return they received from the implementation," says Aberdeen research director Denis Pombriant.
Aberdeen canvassed CRM industry vendors to identify their most significant implementations from the prior year, and the case studies presented are based on in-depth vendor and customer interviews and analysis. Moreover, What Works: Ten Significant CRM Implementations of 2001 provides examples of excellence in CRM implementations without regard to conventional vendor-oriented yardsticks such as size, market share, or the SIC code of the end-user customer. The resulting report highlights a mosaic of different industries, companies, vendors, business problems, and solution approaches.
The profiled CRM vendors with end-users include: AMF Bowling, Inc with Applix, Inc.; Asyst with Siebel Systems, Inc.; the City of Des Moines with Front Range Solutions Inc.; Compaq Canada with Blue Pumpkin Software, Inc.; Hewlett-Packard Company with Allegis Corporation; Oncology Therapeutics with Blue Martini Software; Rockwell Automation Corporation with Selectica, Inc.; Sonus with Trivium Systems, Inc.; Textron Fastening Systems with Salesforce.com, Inc.; and Tupperware with Talisma Corporation.
Honorable mentions include: ABN AMRO with eGain; Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS) with Native Minds, Inc.; Ernst & Young with Aprimo, Inc.; Quantum Corporation with Broad Daylight, Inc.; and Timberline Industries with Ardexus Corporation.
