Offer Ensures Plug-in Free Experience Across All Computer Platforms

Maynard, Mass. - March 19, 2002 -- Kaon Interactive Inc. (www.kaon.com), a provider of 3D images virtually all Web users can access without a plug-in, today announced a version of the Activate!3D Viewer for Microsoft`s .NET architecture. Activate!3D Viewer for .NET will provide full support for users accessing Kaon`s 3D images via Microsoft`s Windows XP and .NET framework. Support for .NET complements Kaon`s Java-based Activate!3D suite of products and ensures Kaon images are accessible without a software plug-in, from virtually any computer platform. The new software will be available May 1, 2002.

"Kaon is committed to providing Web users with a seamless experience, regardless of computer platform," said Joshua E. Smith, CTO, Kaon Interactive Inc. "By offering full support for Microsoft Windows XP and the .NET architecture, Kaon ensures the Web user experience with Kaon 3D images will be the same whether Java or .NET is available."

How it Works
When a Microsoft Windows XP user without Java reaches a Web page displaying a Kaon 3D image, the user`s browser automatically retrieves the .NET assembly (similar to an applet) from the server. The assembly downloads, initiates and retrieves the models to display. All Kaon 3D rendering and interactivity happens in the assembly on the end user`s browser. Kaon`s Java solution, which uses an identical process, has been in use for over a year.

Companies deploying Kaon`s 3D products and services include Dell Computer Corporation, Palm Inc., Samsung Electronics America, Casio Inc., FootJoy, PLUS Vision Corporation of America, Quantum Bridge Communications, and Cobra Electronics. The company`s 3D technology provides Web marketers with the competitive edge required to increase the effectiveness of online marketing programs.
