Greg Keene Named to Worldwide E-Commerce Fraud Prevention
Network Board of Directors
Portland, Ore. - March 25, 2002 - Greg Keene, the CTO of Qsent, a business
information services provider, has been named to the board of directors for the
Worldwide E-Commerce Fraud Prevention Network
(merchantfraudsquad.com).
The Network`s mission is to significantly reduce merchants` and consumers`
exposure to online fraud and promote the growth of e-commerce. Keene was
named to the board because Qsent`s iQ411 service is used to detect, prevent
and resolve fraud.
iQ411 is a business information service that allows companies to integrate the
service`s real-time directory listing information into internal processes to save
money and improve customer satisfaction. Retailers use iQ411 to check
contact information provided for orders that exceed certain dollar amounts
against iQ411 to verify the basic contact information on the buyer. iQ411 can
also compare "bill to" and "ship to" addresses and raise a red flag when there
is a discrepancy.
"Fraud is a real challenge for Internet merchants. It`s much easier to commit
fraud online because it`s more difficult to authenticate the buyer," said Keene.
"Finding new ways to minimize the risk will help both merchants and
consumers have a better e-commerce experience."
