YANTRA COLLABORATES WITH BEA TO DELIVER DEPENDABILITY AND RELIABILITY FOR DISTRIBUTED COMMERCE

BEA Technology Helps Power Yantra`s Distributed Order and Inventory Management Suite

TEWKSBURY, Mass., March 26, 2002 -Yantra Corporation (www.yantra.com), the leading provider of enterprise solutions for distributed commerce management solutions, today announced that it has embedded the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform™ into Yantra`s Distributed Commerce Management Suite, and agreed to support BEA WebLogic Portal™.

The partnership strengthens the long-standing technical relationship between the two companies and extends it into their sales, marketing and development efforts. Yantra and BEA already have many joint customers, including Target, Hallmark, Motorola and Allogis, a subsidiary of DHL.

With the combination of BEA`s cross-platform application server and portal technology and Yantra`s distributed order and inventory management applications, users can more easily and reliably deploy and manage high-volume, mission critical commerce environments involving multiple channels, business units and trading partners. BEA WebLogic Server™ is available immediately as part of Yantra`s new Version 4.0, released in October 2001. Integration between Yantra`s suite and BEA WebLogic Portal will be available in Spring 2002. The agreement also provides customers with a single point of contact for service, support and maintenance, reducing implementation time and system maintenance costs.

The BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform provides Yantra`s customers with proven reliability and dependability for high availability commerce environments. BEA WebLogic Portal enables Yantra`s application users and their extended trading partners to simplify and customize their access to order and inventory information based on business process, workflow and participant roles.

Together, the technologies provide a unified platform for businesses to help reduce the overall cost of linking portals with businesses` supply chain, customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning initiatives. Additionally, both companies` solutions are designed to scale rapidly for thousands of concurrent users and transactions and multiple portal initiatives.

With the new agreement, Yantra and BEA are jointly targeting consumer goods, retail, distribution and logistics, chemical, and high technology companies.

"Yantra`s applications are specifically built to manage high volumes of orders and inventory across multiple channels, business units and trading partners," said Scott Edgington, vice president and general manager, Global Software Partners, BEA Systems. "It is a very strategic application for companies trying to reach new customers, sell additional products and services, reduce inventories and manage outsourcing partnerships. By combining Yantra`s distributed commerce management applications with BEA`s market-leading application platform technologies, we`re enabling the most reliable and flexible commerce environments possible."

"BEA continues to lead the way in the application infrastructure market by combining application server, portal and integration into one unified platform" said Robert Sweeney, vice president, product management at Yantra. "As more and more Global 2000 companies look to Yantra to manage commerce across their extended enterprises, BEA`s WebLogic enables us to deliver the highest performance possible in mission-critical commerce environments."
