John Irvin moves from Spiegel to head Penney`s Internet sales

John Irvin has been named president of catalog and Internet operations for J. C. Penney Co. Inc. and senior vice president of J.C. Penney. Irvin will report to Vanessa Castagna, president and chief operating officer for JCPenney Stores, Catalog and Internet and executive vice president of J.C. Penney Co. Inc. Irvin joins JCPenney from Spiegel Inc., where he was president and chief executive officer. Prior to Spiegel, he was senior vice president and general merchandise manager for women`s apparel, accessories, footwear, intimate apparel, and fine jewelry at Mervyn`s. Previously, he was president of Maison Blanche Department Stores in Louisiana. Prior to that, he was president and COO of the Dallas Market Center. In addition, Irvin has held a number of senior level positions including senior merchandising responsibilities at Sanger Harris and Foley`s. Reporting to Irvin will be B.D. Feiwus, who has been named senior vice president and associate director of catalog. Feiwus will direct the development of catalog merchandising, operations, marketing, advertising and publication objectives and strategies. Feiwus joins JCPenney from eRewards.com, where he was president.
