Internap Network Services Corp., a provider of Internet platforms including for retailers, has named Randal Thompson vice president of global sales. Thompson has been an Internap employee for four years.
Thompson had been Internap's regional vice president, mid-America and Europe. The company says his new responsibilities include building up relationships with Internap's clients as well as attracting new customers and expanding the company and its services in new markets.
Internap offers managed Internet services, a content delivery network and other Internet-related services. Retail clients include Best Buy Co. Inc., Costco Wholesale Corp., Gap Inc., Recreational Equipment Inc. and the Sharper Image Corp.
