Found, Inc. Releases ICaM Version 2.0 Creating New Flexibility for Real-Time Retail Operations

New Architecture for ICaM Inventory Locator and ICaM Order Manager delivers more configuration and deployment options

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - April 01, 2002 - Found, Inc., a software and services provider that helps retailers drive sales and build customer loyalty by unifying inventory and sales channels, today announced the General Availability release of its ICaM™ (Integrated Clicks and Mortar) application, version 2.0.

ICaM, a distributed retail inventory and order management system, allows retailers to capture sales otherwise lost to out-of-stocks and to integrate multiple sales channels. The ICaM Inventory Locator provides real-time inventory availability for every location across the chain, and allows that inventory to be searched from any point of customer interaction. The ICaM Order Manager then completes the sale for customers on the web or associates in the stores by routing and processing the order in real-time between selling and fulfilling locations.

ICaM version 2.0 features an upgraded architecture for these primary functions as well as several key enhancements. ICaM is built using a foundation of standards-based frameworks, including JDBC compliance for database connectivity and JMS compliance for middleware integration. As a pure Java application, ICaM can be installed in virtually any retail environment, providing the retailer with operating system, database, and middleware choices. The distributed ICaM 2.0 architecture also boasts the scalability to support retailers with thousands of stores and millions of sku/outlet combinations and the extensibility to add modular applications to the real-time integration framework.

The Finish Line, Inc. (NASDAQ: FINL), one of Found`s key customers and a leading mall-based specialty retailer of name brand athletic footwear and apparel, will be the first client to upgrade to ICaM 2.0. With more than 450 stores in 43 states, Finish Line is known for providing customers with the best selection of active footwear in the mall. With ICaM, they have been able to improve the availability of inventory to their customers, both in store and on-line.

"We have been very pleased with the results of our initial ICaM implementation," said Roger Underwood, senior vice president of Information Systems at Finish Line. "The enhancements in ICaM 2.0 will give us the flexibility we need as we continue to leverage technology to drive sales and offer our customers convenience, value, and selection."

Additional enhancements available with ICaM 2.0 include an advanced Order Processing Engine upgrade to the ICaM Order Manager. The Order Processing Engine is fully configurable to support various order types including customer orders, special orders, and purchase orders, as well as customized order flows and approval processes. This allows Found`s customers to automate the process of managing orders in real-time throughout and beyond their enterprise and link order management automation to real-time inventory visibility.

"Retailers understand that real-time information at every point of customer interaction is a critical part of their efforts to drive sales and maintain customer loyalty," said Glen Mella, president and CEO of Found. "The open, scalable, and extensible architecture of Found`s ICaM 2.0 gives our clients the flexibility to quickly deploy and customize ICaM for these key real-time business processes."
