ArtSelect Inc., a subsidiary of online digital content marketplace a21 Inc., has signed a joint marketing deal with Redcats USA.
Under the arrangement, ArtSelect, No. 284 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, will establish a co-branded relationship that integrates ArtSelect's custom-framed art concept and product line into various Redcats USA catalogs and web sites, including BrylaneHome.com, a home furnishings and décor site.
“We are pleased that another leading catalog company and specialty retailer has recognized the value that ArtSelect delivers in enhancing the consumer shopping experience by providing custom-framing solutions," says a21 president and COO Phil Garfinkle. "We expect that Redcats USA's extensive customer base should increase the distribution for ArtSelect's products."
Using ArtSelect’s technology, shoppers can view their art selections on an online wall they create to allow them to pick colors and mix and match frames and mats until they reach their final choice. “The ArtSelect alliance reinforces Redcats USA's position in the direct marketing of home products,” says Kevin Doyle, executive vice president of BrylaneHome Lifestyles Group. “Wall decor solutions now can be matched with textile offers, giving our customers customization and value in an easy-to-use format completely integrated with our web sites."
Redcats, No. 28 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, continues to diversify its marketing and merchandising base. In May the company acquired The Sportsman’s Guide Inc. and began making a concerted push into sporting goods, an online retail segment growing at an annual rate of about 25%.
