MIAMI, April 4, 2002 – New Generation Computing Inc. today announced that
Kellwood Company, a major marketer of apparel and recreational camping goods,
has selected New Generation`s Web-based supply chain management software,
e-SPS, to streamline and manage its sourcing and exception-based management
worldwide.
Kellwood will implement e-SPS at its headquarters in St. Louis and corporate
office in New York City for use in its apparel divisions. The software will be
accessible to the company`s global partners and contractors via the Internet.
With e-SPS, Kellwood will have real-time visibility of the entire sourcing and
production process, enabling it to manage global communications, exceptions and
collaboration procedures.
"We selected New Generation`s e-SPS because it is easy to use, is apparel
specific and comes from a company that has a proven track record in the apparel
industry,” said James Bisciello, Kellwood`s senior vice president, sourcing
strategies. “e-SPS will provide our company with the visibility it needs to
identify and solve problems that are prevalent in the global production of
apparel before they become impossible to manage.”
