Humongous.com to close online store this month

Toy and interactive game maker Humongous Entertainment will temporarily close its online store this month while it rolls the store back into its parent company Infogames, Inc. A company spokeswoman says Humongous was not able to run the retail operation as efficiently as it originally planned. There is no set date for the store’s re-launch, but it will likely be accompanied by site-design changes, she says. Humongous Entertainment is the maker of the popular Blue’s Clues line of toys and games. The company’s toys and games will continue to be sold off-line by retailers such Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Kmart.
