Surprise.com offers gift for lowering energy costs and surviving blackouts
Surprise.com, a web site for unique gift ideas, launched a new gift category called "Power Savers," to help consumers save money on their energy bill. The category’s range of gift ideas include the replacement of old, power-guzzling refrigerators, unusual draft-stoppers to keep the cold out, motion-sensor light switches, and water heater blankets. Some ideas for blackouts include universal power supplies to protect computers, hand-crank radios, and disaster kits. Surprise.com’s almost 300 gift categories fit timely circumstances or unique characteristics of gift recipients. Surprise.com also allows its visitors to submit their own innovative gift ideas so categories grow and change.
