eBay leads in computers and electronics visitors, says Nielsen/NetRatings

EBay Electronics was the most heavily visited computer and consumer electronics site for the week ending Dec. 7, but No 2 BestBuy.com was not far behind, reported Nielsen/NetRatings. All sites are benefiting from online holiday shopping.

EBay Electronics attracted 2.7 million unique visitors for the week ending Dec. 7, while BestBuy.com hosted 2.5 million. Two months ago, eBay Electronics hosted 2.1million visitors and BestBuy, 1.1 million. The remaining Top 5 sites were CircuitCity.com, with 1.2 million visitors (564,000 in October, which ranked it No. 4); Sony Electronics, with 1 million (same as October, when it ranked No. 3), and RadioShack.com, with 463,000.

The top retail goods and services online advertisers for the same week, ranked on ad impressions, were:
NetFlix, 455.6 million
J.C. Penney, 413.4 million
Amazon.com, 325.8 million
Classmates Online, 216.2 million
Home Depot, 184 million
Best Buy, 151.2 million
eBay, 148.2 million
Target, 118.2 million
eBay auctioneers, 104.7 million
eBay sellers, 95.9 million.
