Content is back as an important component of e-commerce sites. The latest example: RadioShack Corp. is launching a series of free consumer education seminars at RadioShack.com on such topics as how to choose a computer, satellite radio, digital photography techniques, the mobile office, digital and wireless accessories, selecting a home theater, digital music, and how to select, set up and configure HDTV systems.
The classes will be developed and hosted by Powered Inc., which provides educational content to Atkins, BusinessWeek, Gateway, HP, P&G, and Sony. Courses will be taught by experts, including award-winning authors, technology leaders and technology professionals.
"Customers give credit to RadioShack for its knowledgeable sales associates who help them understand new technologies and select the best solutions for their individual needs," says Cara Kinzey, senior vice president-information technologies at RadioShack, No. 106 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites. "We're now bringing that distinctive world-class customer service to online shoppers as well."
The courses will be available at learningcenter.radioshack.com. Customers must enroll for classes and enrollment will be limited.
