RealNetworks appoints a new SVP
Digital media products developer and online music retailer RealNetworks Inc. has appointed Harold Zeitz as senior vice president, media software and services. Zeitz will oversee product development and the evolution of Real`s existing RealPlayer and Superpass products, as well as the introduction of new products.
In his previous capacity as chief operating officer for ShareBuilder Corp., Zeitz oversaw marketing, sales, product development, business development, customer service and technology and helped to grow ShareBuilder`s revenue by more than 30% per year. Zeitz also served as president and chief operating officer for WorldStream Communications, a multimedia communications service. Prior to WorldStream, Zeitz held several executive positions with AT&T Wireless where he led a number of consumer initiatives, including the introduction of the first wireless "one rate" plan, after which he went on to lead consumer marketing.
