Robert Paquin, executive vice president of pure-play online jewelry retailer Blue Nile Inc., will resign his position effective Dec. 31, the company reported in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
A Blue Nile spokesman said the retailer was not ready to announce a replacement, but that other executives at Blue Nile had already been taking over some of Paquin’s duties. “We have people in the background who have been taken over his responsibilities for the last few months,” the spokesman says.
Blue Nile, which operates on the web at BlueNile.com, is No. 48 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites.
