Zappos.com’s December sales rise 120%
December sales at footwear retailer Zappos.com more than doubled year-over-year, setting a new record for a single month at more than $11 million, up from $5 million, Zappos says.
Zappos, which last month was named as one of Internet Retailer’s Top 50 Best of the Web for 2004, also posted a record year of sales in 2003 at more than $70 million.
To help sales during the holiday season, Zappos overnighted free of charge all deliveries for orders that came in Dec. 23 to assure delivery before Christmas.
