catalog commerce technology, announced today that Grattan plc, the third
largest home shopping company in the UK, has chosen Pindarıs Catalog
Management System (CMS 3.3) solution for all its print and online
operations.
Grattan, part of the worldıs leading direct retailer, Otto Versand of
Germany, will use Pindar Systems` CMS to manage and deliver product
information across all its consumer sales channels, including print catalogs
and the Web sites of its three trading brands, Grattan (www.grattan.co.uk),
Lookagain (www.lookagain.co.uk) and Kaleidoscope (www.kaleidoscope.co.uk).

Pindar Systems` CMS will manage and export product information to
QuarkXPress for design and production of Grattan`s 1,000-plus-page,
semi-annual master catalog and more frequent supplements, with a combined
circulation of more than 3 million. CMS also will improve the flow and
detail of information on Grattan`s complete line of clothing and homeware
products for delivery via its e-commerce platform to all three Web sites.
In addition, Grattan plans to use the CMS Data Importer module to enhance
its strategic merchandising decisions through integration of sales and
inventory data from its enterprise business systems.
Grattan plans to complete installation by June and immediately put CMS to
work in development of its first 2003 master catalog.
