Q3 web sales rise slightly at Books-A-Million

E-commerce sales at Books-A-Million Inc. rose 3.5% in the third quarter to $6.8 million from almost $6.6 million from a year earlier. At the same time total sales rose 3.4% in the third quarter to $107.6 million from $104 million in Q3 2004.

In the third quarter, the web accounted for 6% of all sales compared to 6% in Q3 2004.

Books-A-Million, No. 181 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites, is the nation’s third largest books retailer.
