Martha Stewart says `I do` to TheWeddingList.com

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. has acquired The Wedding List, a New York-based wedding registry and retailer. Martha Stewart Omnimedia acquired both the Internet and retail showroom assets located in New York, Boston and London. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Commenting on the transaction, Martha Stewart, chairman and CEO, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. said, "Our acquisition of this small but growing business accelerates marthastewart.com`s entry into the wedding registry business and brings to MSO two new distribution platforms, online registry and retail showrooms, to further leverage our ‘how-to’ weddings content. In addition, this transaction will provide the foundation for other gift services as well, and enlarge our business beyond the bridal market."
