AG Interactive posted a 19% jump in third quarter e-commerce sales. AG Interactive, the American Greetings business unit that oversees BlueMountain.com, Egreetings.com and other related sites, saw 2005 third quarter sales jump 19.2% over the same period in 2004. Sales for the quarter, which ended November 30, were $20.3 million, compared with $16.4 million in 2004.
For the nine-month period ending November 30, sales climbed 43%. Sales for the period hit $67.9 million, compared with $38.8 million in 2004. For this fiscal year, the company altered its year-end date to coincide with parent company American Greetings Corp.’s fiscal year-end. Consequently, the nine-month period ended November 30, 2005, includes 11 months of AG Interactive’s operations.
At the end of November, AG Interactive counted 2.4 million paid subscribers, which compares with 2.1 million at the same point in 2004.
