Former DoubleClick, IBM execs join Silverpop board
Court Cunningham, a former DoubleClick executive, and W. Thomas Smith Jr., a former IBM executive, have joined the board of e-mail services and solutions provider Silverpop.com.
Cunningham, COO at Community Connect, left DoubleClick in 2004 after serving five years as vice president of marketing automation. In that role, he acquired two of e-mail marketing firms—MessageMedia and Flo Networks—and helped build DoubleClick’s e-mail business.
Smith, who left IBM in 2000, served as vice president of small and medium business for IBM Americas, managing revenue responsibility of about $12 billion. Prior to that, he was IBM’s southern area general manager. He left IBM in 2000 to found Total Technology Ventures, an investment firm.
