PSC Wins Contract From Ethan Allen Inc.; Installing Falcon 515 Scanners In All U.S.-Based Production Facilities
PORTLAND, OR--June 3, 2002--PSC Inc., a global provider of integrated data-collection solutions and services for the retail supply chain, announced today the award of a supply contract for its Falcon(R) 515 from Ethan Allen Inc.
The company is installing the fixed-station terminals in all U.S.-based production facilities to help improve its responsiveness to market demands.
The Falcon(R) 515 fixed-station terminal will enable Ethan Allen to utilize wireless data collection in a very demanding manufacturing environment without incurring the high cost of hardwiring for Ethernet. A "Work-In-Process" application will provide real-time insight into inventory status and will pinpoint location of work in process within Ethan Allen`s manufacturing operations as well as enable real-time transfer of all collected data to the company`s central database. Rollout is expected to be completed by December 2002.
