Lands` End Signs with Major League Baseball Properties; Direct Merchant To Produce Embroidered Apparel Line
DODGEVILLE, WI, June 4, 2002-- Lands` End`s
newly formed Licensing division and Major League Baseball Properties have
reached a licensing agreement to produce an exclusive line of high quality,
affordably priced licensed apparel.
Dubbed the Major League Baseball Collection, the line originates from a
desire to address requests from Lands` End`s current customers. It also
allows Lands` End to reach a new customer base in baseball fans, and broadens
the already strong appeal of Lands` End`s most popular products by being
introduced onto Major League Baseball Properties` licensed apparel roster.
All products will be custom embroidered within 48 hours of placing an order by
state of the art machinery currently serving Lands` End`s business-to-business
customers. The collection is now available through the Lands` End catalog and
website, http//www.landsend.com .
Many of Lands` End`s most popular men`s, women`s and kid`s products,
including mesh polo shirts, sweatshirts, baseball caps, outerwear, oxford
cloth dress shirts, denim shirts and turtlenecks will be sold with embroidered
logos of all 30 Clubs, as well as All-Star Game and World Series logos through
2004.
