Search technology company EasyAsk gets a new president
EasyAsk Inc., a provider of search technology for e-commerce sites and information portals, has appointed Robert Alperin as president and CEO. Larry Harris, founder of EasyAsk and former CEO, will retain his title as chairman and chief technology officer.
Alperin joins EasyAsk from CMGI where, he was senior vice president of business development and integration and CEO of MyWay.com/Zip2.com. In his business development role at CMGI, Alperin was responsible for integrating and leveraging business opportunities between the 70+ companies acquired by the CMGI network. As president of MyWay.com/Zip2.com, he developed the strategy to grow and bring profitability to the custom portal provider.
Headquartered in Littleton, MA, EasyAsk Inc. is a privately held, venture-funded company providing search technology for e-commerce web sites and information portals. More than 6,500 companies have acquired the company`s core technology.
