Yankee Group sees growth in mobile commerce
Mobile commerce is expected to pick up in banking, brokerage and retail markets, says researchers The Yankee Group. The Yankee Group predicts consumers will make perform than 225 million transactions via wireless devices by 2005 and considers the market worth $50 billion. The Boston-based research company is hosting a conference called Mobile Commerce 2001: Strategies, Business Models & Technologies on May 21-22 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in New York City, which will provide research, trends, online shopping surveys, panel discussions and insight from industry analysts on the topic.
