Former AMR analyst Alexi Sarnevitz leads retail strategy at SAS


Alexi Sarnevitz, a former retail executive who most recently served as a retail industry analyst for AMR Research Inc., has joined business intelligence software provider SAS Institute Inc. as senior director of global retail strategy.

While at AMR, Sarnevitz analyzed the business intelligence products at SAS and other vendors. Prior to AMR, he was an associate partner at consultants Accenture, where he led the development and roll out of new processes and technologies in merchandising, marketing, pricing, supply chain and store operations.

Sarnevitz, with more than 20 years of experience dealing with technology designed to help merchants manage information across multiple operational functions, has also held senior management positions at retailers including Payless ShoeSource, Dixon’s Group PLC and Edison Brothers Shoes.
