Seiko agrees to use e-Sim’s LiveManuals technology for digital user manuals

Hard on the heels of its announcement that Nikon USA had selected its technology to provide digital user manuals, e-SIM today announced that it will develop interactive LiveProducts simulations and manuals for 16 products from Seiko Instruments Austin Inc.'s line of portable data devices and systems.

As with Nikon, some of the Seiko products will carry a "Powered by LiveManuals" label, totaling more than 250,000 packages.

Under the terms of the agreement, e-SIM will develop interactive, functional simulations for 16 of Seiko's products including the Interactive Dictionary and Thesaurus, a Spanish-English dictionary and the Talking Dictionary. The e-SIM simulations will be available on Seiko's web site and on e-SIM's customer support web site, LiveManuals.com.

"We decided to utilize e-SIM's technology within our company because LiveProducts can support, educate and inform our customers in a unique fashion," said Drew Pragliola, vice-president of sales and marketing for Seiko Instruments Austin. "By using e-SIM's technology, we are gaining significant advantages over the competition by further extending brand awareness in a way that truly differentiates our products."
