Seiko agrees to use e-Sim’s LiveManuals technology for digital user manuals

Hard on the heels of its announcement that Nikon USA had selected its technology to provide digital user manuals, e-SIM today announced that it will develop interactive LiveProducts simulations and manuals for 16 products from Seiko Instruments Austin Inc.`s line of portable data devices and systems.

As with Nikon, some of the Seiko products will carry a "Powered by LiveManuals" label, totaling more than 250,000 packages.

Under the terms of the agreement, e-SIM will develop interactive, functional simulations for 16 of Seiko`s products including the Interactive Dictionary and Thesaurus, a Spanish-English dictionary and the Talking Dictionary. The e-SIM simulations will be available on Seiko`s web site and on e-SIM`s customer support web site, LiveManuals.com.

"We decided to utilize e-SIM`s technology within our company because LiveProducts can support, educate and inform our customers in a unique fashion," said Drew Pragliola, vice-president of sales and marketing for Seiko Instruments Austin. "By using e-SIM`s technology, we are gaining significant advantages over the competition by further extending brand awareness in a way that truly differentiates our products."
