Fluid promotes Andy Lloyd from VP, marketing, to CEO
Fluid Inc., provider of online merchandising and display technology, has named Andy Lloyd chief executive officer. Lloyd previously was Fluid’s vice president of marketing.
“Andy has been instrumental to Fluid’s growth ever since he joined the company - he has a unique understanding of the needs of the online retailer and a proven ability to deliver the best combination of software and services to meet those needs,“ says Roger Lang, chairman of Fluid.
Lloyd was part of the group that founded Internet appliance developer Diba, Inc., which was acquired by Sun in 1997. After Diba, Lloyd became director of marketing with Kintana, later acquired by Mercury Interactive for more than $200 million and now part of Hewlett Packard. Lloyd also was founder and CEO of Chariteam, a hosted solution provider for non-profit organizations, later acquired by Kintera.
Fluid was founded in 1990. Customers include Reebok, Timberland, JanSport, Design Within Reach and The North Face.
