HomeDepot.com starts selling in 48 states

Home Deport has expanded its online sales program to customers in the 48 contiguous states. Earlier this month, the company rolled out an online catalog of 20,000 products offered in Washington, Oregon, Montana and Arizona. Throughout April the company has introduced catalogs to serve the rest of the country. Products vary by region. Home Depot has full store online product availability in Las Vegas, San Antonio and Austin, offering more than 50,000 products. "We developed our web site so customers will see products that are appropriate for their specific region," said Ron Griffin, chief information officer. "Since it is doubtful that customers in Phoenix would have a need for snow shovels, they won`t see any on our web site. However, Chicago customers will see a full complement of snow removal equipment."
