Albertson`s Sav-On Drugs completes integration of web site with drug chain
Albertson’s has completed the integration of its Savon.com online pharmacy to its 1,900 pharmacies nationwide, Albertson’s said today.
Consumers can order prescriptions directly via a web form on the Savon.com site. These orders are routed through customer service agents who use Astute Inc.`s PowerCenter eCRM system to review each order and route it to an Albertson`s pharmacy or to a central fulfillment center for handling. Pharmacists at the pharmacy access orders through a web browser and fill the prescriptions. Consumers may choose to have their prescriptions shipped directly from their local pharmacy or can pick them up in person. Information on fulfillment is captured by the PowerCenter system, allowing the consumer contact center to provide instant status information to consumers.
