Blue Nile resumes the search for a CFO
After announcing on June 29 that Scott Devitt was taking the job as chief financial officer, Blue Nile, No. 49 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, is now looking for his replacement.
Devitt, most recently employed as a managing director and senior analyst with Stifel Nicolaus & Co., a St. Louis brokerage and investment banking company, will not be joining Blue Nile for personal and family reasons, the retailer says. “Scott has had a change of heart based on personal considerations, with the relocation of his family weighing heavily in his decision,” says Blue Nile CEO Mark Vadon.
Blue Nile president Diane Irvine will continue to function as CFO while the search for Devitt’s replacement begins, says Blue Nile.
