Zimmerman`s Toyland will distribute PC-based card readers to customers
Zimmerman`s Toyland Inc., a California toy retailer with one location, a catalog and a web site, will distribute free of charge the eCash Pad payment card reader to customers who want to shop at its web site. ECash Pad, distributed by eConnect, connects to consumers’ computers and allows secure payment information to be transferred from the customer to the retailer. The device contains a magnetic stripe reader and allows payment by credit or debit card.
"The eCashPad will allow our consumers and business affiliates to purchase in a secure card present environment. This will greatly reduce chargebacks and increase security,” said Carley Zimmerman, president of Zimmerman`s Toyland. Zimmerman`s has ordered 100 eCashPads.
