Vcommerce names Bret E. Lawson as chief financial officer
Vcommerce Corp., a provider of on-demand commerce and fulfillment solutions, has named Bret E. Lawson as chief financial officer. Lawson, formerly vice president and controller at CacheFlow Inc., was instrumental in that company’s successful initial public offering in 1989 and in supporting its rapid growth, Vcommerce said.
“Bret’s financial management experience covers a wide spectrum, and he has played key roles in developing and guiding high-growth companies to improved financial performance as well as successful IPOs, acquisitions and mergers,” said Dan Clarke, Vcommerce CEO. “We look forward to utilizing his expertise as we scale our business, expand into markets, and grow geographically.”
Vcommerce also announced the appointment of Tom Cowan, CEO of Vecker Corp., to its board of directors. Cowan is the former chairman, president and CEO of OutlookSoft Corp., where he built the company into a significant competitor in the business performance management space and led the organization to ten-times revenue growth during his three-year tenure, Vcommerce said.
“Tom is a seasoned executive with over twenty years experience building technology companies,” Clarke said. “His unique balance of operational expertise, technology background and strategic insight make Tom a strong asset for our board.”
