Sears.com uses SalesHound to help customers find products on sale
Proponents of online circulars have long sought the big user who would give credibility to their product. They may finally have found one. Sears.com last week began featuring an online sales circular under the “Browse This Week’s Ad” section of Sears.com. The site states that Sears is working with Chicago-based SalesHound, a provider of sales and promotions services, to provide Sears` customers with a way to find products on sale before going to a Sears store.
The Sears web page explaining the deal states that SalesHound helps Sears use the Internet to distribute sales and promotional content on a localized basis for its
customers. Using SalesHound’s proprietary technology and services, Sears presents store-specific products and prices to Sears.com customers and through a network of SalesHound partner sites. The page also says that manufacturers can benefit from SalesHound’s SalesLink service, which provides customers with access to deals and promotions on products at nearby stores.
