AMR Research hires three retail tech veterans

AMR Research has hired Andy Sanfilippo, formerly of Oracle Retail and Williams-Sonoma, as research director, covering processes and technologies in merchandising—including merchandise and assortment planning, allocation, lifecycle pricing, and cross-channel merchandising.

AMR also has hired Dawn O’Brien to manage AMR Research’s retail peer forum network, which includes the new Retail I.T. Leaders Peer Forum. She is the former senior director of retail merchandising systems at the National Retail Federation, director of merchandising systems with Duty Free Americas, manager of systems integration at Crown Books, and point-of-sale project manager with Target Corp.

AMR also has hired Chris Fletcher as a research director covering customer relationship management, customer-facing technologies and enterprise mobility.

Before joining AMR Research, Sanfilippo was responsible for Oracle Retail’s ProfitLogic assortment planning and allocation products, and future Oracle Retail planning and optimization strategy. He also worked on market analysis, product rationalization and product roadmaps while helping to manage client implementations. He was an application architect at Williams-Sonoma, architected the enterprise applications for Wine.com, and managed the design and implementation of systems for consumer product, direct-to-consumer and transportation companies at Manhattan Associates and Qiva.

AMR Research launched its Retail I.T. Leaders Peer Forum in May. It has 21 member organizations, including 7-Eleven, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Hallmark. The forum’s purpose is to enable senior retail technology executives to educate themselves and their teams and influence the industry.

Fletcher was director of alliance and solutions marketing at Nokia, where he worked with enterprise and mobile application providers to bring mobile solutions to market. Before that he was vice president and research director with the Aberdeen Group, where he led the CRM practice and initiated coverage into emerging CRM markets including mid-market CRM, mobile CRM, field force automation and marketing automation.

AMR Research is a research and advisory firm focused on manufacturing, supply chain, enterprise applications and infrastructure.
