San Francisco and Retail Systems Conference and Expo–May 24,
2005 – Evant today announced the release of Evant Replenishment 5.0, a
leading Java-based demand forecasting and replenishment solution for multichannel
retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
While the new release
includes enhanced functionality for capacity constrained ordering and
forecast exception management, Evant Replenishment 5.0 has made its
greatest strides in the area of usability.
“At Evant, we pride ourselves on the unparalleled commitment to the end user
by ensuring that our solutions provide the latest tools and are also the most
usable in the industry,” said Mike Matacunas, Vice President of Product
Strategy and Marketing with Evant. “In developing the latest release of Evant
Replenishment, we worked with our customers to determine what
functionality would improve productivity and take advantage of our advanced
functionality, science and technology.”
Evant Replenishment 5.0 empowers software users to improve
communication, enhance productivity, and streamline the replenishment
process with features, including:
-- Capacity Constrained Ordering – Evant Replenishment now offers
advanced simulation-based tools that ensure expected daily receipts
does not exceed your ability to receive and put-away goods. This
capability is extremely valuable for managing peak-season buying into
stores while smoothing out labor requirements and deliveries into the
distribution center.
-- Push Allocations – End of season “push”, excess inventory redistributions
and new product introductions just got easier with Evant’s
newest allocation capabilities. Easily simulate inventory allocations at
several levels before finalizing and approving these transfer orders.
-- Inventory Layering – Users can now view over 20 distinct “layers” of
inventory online at several levels of aggregation including: location,
item, supplier, buyer and SKU/location. Seamless drill-down
navigation is provided to quickly analyze problem areas all the way
back to the PO the inventory was purchased on.
-- Expanded Service Level Options – Using Evant’s Multi-Echelon
capabilities, users now have the flexibility to set different service level
objectives for each distribution channel.
-- Model Sets – Plan-o-grams can be uploaded directly from the
desktop, allowing VMI users to better manage changing planograms
and better manage orders for customer locations.
-- A New Messaging System – Users can now create any number of
notes at various levels, posting them within the user interface directly,
while opting to attaching them to purchase orders. Templates can be
created for frequently used notes, and users are also able to control
privacy and priority settings.
-- Foreign Language Capabilities –Evant Replenishment is now
available for French and Italian users, with Spanish and German
planned for a future delivery.
-- Enhanced Order Management and Order Building – Users are
alerted to unusual situations with new order exceptions, and they are
now able to approve large numbers of orders in batch mode.
-- LDAP Server Support – User account and password information that
has been centralized for use with other systems can now be referenced
directly by Evant Replenishment, simplifying management of user
authentication for systems administrators.
As of the first quarter of 2005, Evant Replenishment manages an estimated
$31 billion in inventory for retailers, wholesalers, and distributors across
more than 15,000 stores and 350 distribution centers around the world,
