Retail Industry Veterans to Bolster Technology, Customer Experience as Network Grows

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (JUNE 2, 2005) -- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Shop At Home has added two retail industry professionals to the senior management team of the Nashville-based television retail network, to support its continued growth and the development of key departments. Jeffrey Doster will assume the role of chief technology officer for the network, while Bill Christopher will serve as senior vice president of customer experience. Both executives will be based in Nashville, Tenn.

"The executive experience that both Jeff and Bill offer with their combined backgrounds across the retail industry make them a powerful combination to take Shop At Home to the next level," said Judy Girard, president of Shop At Home. "Jeff`s technical experience and business savvy, partnered with Bill`s tactical leadership in customer experience will be instrumental in guiding Shop At Home in the proficient execution of future operational business objectives."

A technical expert with extensive experience managing e-commerce and merchandising solutions for top-rung retail operations, Doster will oversee the network`s technology group, charged with the execution technology strategies to increase business productivity, while refining the company`s information technology systems and protocols. Doster comes to Scripps Networks as former senior vice president of information technology and chief information officer for New Roads, Inc. where he led the integration, consolidation and streamlining of information technology systems among the company and its seven business acquisitions obtained from 2000 to 2003. He also led the design and implementation of multiple labor tracking, warehouse and call center management systems for the company, to efficiently move over $2 billion in annual retail product.

Christopher`s career in customer care and retail operations spans over 20 years with diverse experience in online retailing, inventory management, traditional store operations and marketing. Serving most recently as Chief of Customer Care and Operations for Sears, Roebuck and Co., Christopher managed customer care for the company`s online, catalog and Sears Shop at Home Service operations. He led the work of over 75 sites that included operations, customer contact and fulfillment centers to support the company`s online and catalog sales. He also was instrumental in the building and growth of Sears Online, where he led the development of processes and technology infrastructure to support the company`s entire online strategy. In his new role at Shop At Home, Christopher will manage the network`s call center operations.
