Napster hires former Blockbuster Online executive as COO
Napster Inc. has hired Christopher Allen as chief operating officer, responsible for Napster’s product strategy, development and marketing. He will report to chairman and CEO Chris Gorog.
Prior to joining Napster, No. 108 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, Allen served as vice president, product strategy, design and marketing for Blockbuster Online, No. 51 in the Top 500 Guide.
Allen also was vice president of product strategy and marketing at Yahoo Music and was responsible for the media and premium service lines of business and all aspects of product management and product planning.
