Elaine D. Bolle Joins Achex, Inc. as President and CEO
Former Western Union and First Data Executive to Lead Online Payments Company
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA – March 19, 2001 – Achex, Inc., the leading provider of online checking-based payment solutions for merchants, today announced that Elaine D. Bolle, former CEO of Third Voice, Inc., is joining Achex as the company`s new president and CEO.

Elaine D. Bolle
Elaine is a senior executive with extensive experience in leading both old and "new "economy companies. Prior to joining Achex, Elaine held the CEO position at Third Voice, Inc., an Internet software company, and was president and COO of Net Exchange, Inc., a provider of outsourced Web-based collaboration and messaging tools. She held a series of senior level management positions for several financial services companies, including senior vice president of Business Development for First Data Corporation`s $1.1 billion Payment Services Division, senior vice president and general manager of Western Union, and vice president of Citicorp`s Global Payment Products Division. Elaine has deep experience in marketing and product management at retail and consumer packaged goods companies, including Sears Roebuck & Company and The Quaker Oats Company. She holds a master`s in business administration and a bachelor`s in Spanish and French from the University of Michigan. Elaine is also a visiting trustee at Bucknell University and speaker at the Entrepreneurship Center of New York University`s Stern School of Business.
Terry Allen-Rouman
Since founding Achex in August 1999, Terry Allen-Rouman has served as president, CEO and chairman of the Achex Board. Bolle`s hiring was part of a long-term plan to bring in a new CEO at this stage in Achex`s growth and evolution. Allen-Rouman will continue to be a key member of the executive team serving as senior vice president of Corporate Development and Strategy. He will also continue in his current board role.
