Lands` End Elects Eliot Wadsworth, II to Its Board of Directors
DODGEVILLE, Wis. -- Lands` End, Inc. (NYSE: LE)
today announced that the company`s board of directors has elected Eliot
Wadsworth, II as a member of the board, effective March 15, 2001.
In making the announcement, company founder and chairman of the board
Gary C. Comer said, "Eliot brings many talents and strong experience to Lands`
End, and I believe he will contribute much to our board, especially in the
areas of finance and strategic direction. His overall experience, combined
with his strong background in direct marketing, will provide key support for
the company`s future development and growth."
Mr. Wadsworth has been the owner and chief executive officer of White
Flower Farm, Inc, a nationally known mail-order nursery business, since 1975.
He was the founder of Boston Common Press, L.P., a niche publishing company,
and has served as its managing director for the last 10 years. Mr. Wadsworth
is also the co-founder and general partner of Housatonic Partners, a private
equity investment partnership in Boston, founded in 1994.
Mr. Wadsworth earned his undergraduate degree at Harvard College and an
MBA from the Harvard Business School, where he later served on that school`s
finance faculty. He currently serves on the board of directors of Boston
Common Press, L.P.
