Cabela`s Embarks on Multi-Channel Transformation Project With Evant`s Advanced Replenishment and Catalog Planning

Evant Solutions Will Tackle Inventory Optimization, Improve Process Efficiencies, and Support Store Growth for the World`s Foremost Outfitter

SAN FRANCISCO, June 14 -- Evant, a leading provider of planning, replenishment, and enterprise management software, today announced that Cabela`s, (NYSE:CAB) the nation`s largest mail-order, retail, and Internet outdoor outfitter, will implement Evant Replenishment and Evant Catalog Planning. Cabela`s will leverage these solutions to optimize inventory and service levels, improve efficiency of planning and replenishment processes, and support the growth of all of its business channels starting with the retail division. Cabela`s now has 11 superstores across the country, with seven more new stores announced. With aggressive growth plans, retail represents one of the company`s greatest opportunities for growth.

With up to 240,000 square feet of floor space, Cabela`s destination superstores feature more than 90,000 SKUs, which vary depending on the season and the region of the country in which the store is located. Since customers often drive a great distance to reach a Cabela`s showroom, it is important to Cabela`s to exceed expectations in all areas of customer service.

"In the past, we had in-stock issues and missed sales opportunities due to disconnects between our stores and our distribution centers," said Sakis. "Evant Replenishment will allow us to bridge that gap, by creating a centralized process for managing inventory information, replenishing stores, and fulfilling catalog and Internet orders. With the increased visibility and multi-channel replenishment capabilities Evant offers, Cabela`s will be able to drastically reduce the amount of inventory needed to maintain excellent customer service levels throughout our enterprise -- reducing our cost of goods sold and maximizing our profitability."

Cabela`s will also be using Evant Catalog Planning to plan and manage assortments for the more than 60 different catalogs they distribute annually to more than 100 million readers within the United States and around the world. Cabela`s will join a number of other Evant customers -- including RedEnvelope, Lillian Vernon, and babystyle -- who are leveraging the advanced functionality of Evant Catalog Planning to satisfy the unique needs of their catalog businesses and factor demand into their inventory plans.
