ValueVision Media Inc., which owns and operates ShopNBC.com, is thinning the ranks of senior management in order to reduce operating expenses.
The TV and web retailer, No. 64 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, announced that senior vice president of merchandising Karen Johnston has left the company. Her position was also eliminated as part of ValueVision’s ongoing restructuring, the company says in a recent regulatory filing.
In 2006 Johnston earned $422,658 in total compensation, including a base salary of $257,726, and an incentive bonus of $126,179, according to ValueVision’s latest proxy statement.
