Shipment consolidator APX Logistics files for bankruptcy
Shipment consolidator APX Logistics has filed for bankruptcy and is discontinuing operations, Brad Garberich, CEO, announced today. He cited APX’s “unfavorable financial performance” as the reason.
APX is a shipment consolidator which takes packages from numerous shippers, consolidates them and then inserts them into the postal service at the point that makes the most from a cost and delivery perspective. It employed 1,850 workers at 47 facilities nationwide and shipped 250 million packages a year in 200,000 truckloads. Corporate offices were in Santa Fe Springs, CA, with key support services in Oak Brook, IL.
