iContact, online communications provider, hires a sales director
IContact, provider of e-mail marketing, blogging and online communication platforms, has hired Matt Allen as director of sales, responsible for leading iContact’s growing sales force and managing the company’s inside, enterprise, agency and large sender sales efforts.
Allen has more than 25 years of sales management experience, most recently as CEO & president of Cartridge World. His experience also includes managing inside sales efforts at Red Hat and Cisco Systems.
IContact now has 65 employees and has 13 openings in product management, web development, graphic design, customer service and sales. The company expects to grow to 120 employees in the next 18 months.
IContact is an on-demand application designed to allow businesses to manage all their online communications in one platform, enabling creation of e-mail newsletters, blogs, RSS feeds, surveys, and autoresponders. Customers include Symantec, LG Electronics and United Colors of Benetton.
