SANYO TEAMS UP WITH HOW2TV, USES TRAINING PAC
LOS ANGELES - April 10, 2001 - Sanyo Fisher Company has selected How2TV
to develop Web-based sales training packages for the company`s new SCP-5000,
America`s first full color, Internet-ready PCS handset. Sanyo will use
How2TV`s "Training Pac" to introduce the SCP-5000`s key features to Sprint
PCS and their other distribution partners.
In the past, Sanyo used videotapes to update its sales force with product
information. With How2TV`s Training Pac accessible through the Internet
with a modem connection of 56K or faster, Sanyo can update product information
far easier and track which sales representatives have viewed the Pac on
a store-by-store basis. How2TV`s Pac includes a testing capability so
supervisors know which sales representatives have mastered the SCP-5000`s
feature set.
"Our Sprint exclusive, PCS handset features the first 256 full color LCD
offered in the United States, and has unique features such as photo caller
ID, call screening and adjustable font sizes, so we needed the best tools
possible to bring our distribution partners up to speed on the SCP-5000,"
Keenan Hogg, national marketing manager, Sanyo, said. "How2TV`s Training
Pac seamlessly combines interactive graphics with audio, text, diagrams
and testing capabilities we can track, making it a sound addition to our
training regiment."
How2TV won two awards for its Pacs at the 2001 Consumer Electronics Show:
Best of Show and an Innovations 2001 Design and Engineering Award. The
company produces and distributes visual eCRM solutions, such as Training
Pacs, for manufacturers, brick and mortar retailers and e-commerce sites.
The Pacs can be custom-designed for each client, such as adding the test
module for Sanyo.
"The Training Pac`s test module lets companies measure the effectiveness
of their training initiatives, and helps them hold sales representatives
accountable for keeping up to date with the latest information," Henio
Arcangeli, Jr., president and CEO, How2TV, said. "Managers can access
the results to closely monitor the training progress."
In addition to the Training Pac, How2TV offers the Feature Pac, which highlights
a product or company`s features or services; the Instruction Pac, which
helps customers assemble, program or operate products they have purchased;
and the FAQ Pac, which answers frequently asked product-related questions.
All of How2TV`s products can be easily integrated into existing eCRM implementations.
