Experienced Professionals Reinforce E-Business Reliability Expertise
Two New Vice Presidents Head Efforts to Reach Into New Markets
Lexington, Mass.-April 17, 2001-Segue Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: SEGU), the
leader in e-business reliability solutions, today announced the addition of
two new vice presidents to its senior management team. The appointments of
Don Rossi to the position of senior vice president of worldwide operations
and Basil Harris to the position of vice president of product marketing
reinforce Segue`s commitment to leading the e-business reliability industry.
Don Rossi brings over 20 years of experience in software sales and sales
management and has held positions in national sales management and business
development at Ardent Software, On Technology, Objectivity, and Valid Logic.
Rossi will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and
marketing strategies to extend Segue`s leadership position in e-reliability
solutions for enterprise accounts.
"This is a great opportunity to provide our entire sales team with a renewed
focus for 2001," said Rossi. "Our sales mission is threefold: to expand
relationships with existing enterprise customers, to bring in new customers
as we introduce e-business reliability products in Q2, and to strengthen our
service partnerships -- such as the one recently announced with IBM Global
Services. As we refine our sales channels over the next few months, our new
and existing customers will see a very strong commitment from Segue to
establish long-term relationships that provide customers with confidence in
their e-business operations."
Basil Harris was, most recently, senior director for corporate and product
marketing at Verbind, Inc., where he successfully coordinated the launch of
Verbind`s first licensed product offering in the CRM personalization space
and increased lead generation through strategic collateral and media
placements. He previously worked at KPMG Consulting, where he held various
senior management positions in the Microsoft Dot.com Practice and the
e-Engineering and Solutions Integration Practice.
"This quarter will be a very exciting one -- with the rollout of several new
additions to our award-winning Silk product family," said Thomas Boyle,
Segue senior vice president of worldwide marketing. "I look forward to
working with Basil as we further extend our reputation as the company that
provides the market`s most complete and progressive solutions for e-business
effectiveness."
"These additions to our senior management team support Segue`s strategy to
increase leadership and market share in e-business reliability," said Segue
president and chief executive officer Steve Butler. "Don and Basil each have
a proven track record of success and are entering the Segue organization
with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence
focused on expanding our worldwide presence."
