Merrell, a shoe brand manufactured by Wolverine World Wide Inc., is sold globally, and it brings that worldwide approach to Visitors select among 24 country-specific sites on a drop-down menu at the top of the home page. At the time of publication, 12 of those sites were e-commerce-enabled. With the exception of China and South Korea, the sites follow the same design template, but each is customized to the local language and the selling seasons in those locales. For example, in November the South Africa e-commerce site leads with trail shoes designed to be worn without socks, while the Finnish e-commerce site features winter gear. Many of the country pages include prompts to interact with the brand on social media and to join The Pack, Merrell's social club for outdoor enthusiasts.
