With a black background and simple white text, the web site of specialty menswear seller Unionmade reflects the retailer's focus on aesthetics. Unionmade, which sells online and in four San Francisco-area stores, carries more than 100 high-end brands on its e-commerce site. For each collection, it includes a short description of the brand's history and philosophy. A shopper can also browse the site by product category, new items, exclusive collections or through look books. When he hovers over the image of an item in one of those sections, the sizes in which it is available pop up in a row, with any sizes that are sold out shown in red with a strikethrough. On the product page, a shopper can click "measurements" and a detailed pop-up illustration and chart explain the exact garment measurements.
