Why They're Hot:

Target.com's home page excels at making it easy to find what many shoppers want—a good deal. Savings opportunities occupy the bottom third of the page in the left column. From there, shoppers can navigate to various ways to save—from accessing the retailer's daily deals to coupons to clearance items. It also offers consumers a little hand-holding when they peruse the electronic version of its circular by displaying an overlay with arrows that shows the consumer how to use the circular, highlighting areas of the page where they can create a shopping list that can be e-mailed or sent to a mobile device. The retailer knows shoppers want bargains, which is why earlier this year it pledged to match prices on qualifying items sold at Amazon.com Inc., BestBuy.com, Walmart.com and ToysRUs.com.
